iriver H1xx ticking issue

hello rockbox team,

ive got some questions regarding the remote ticking issue...
the interesting thing is that i never expereienced any ticking problems
when i was using the iriver firmware. and when this topic first came up
here with rockbox its been said that some player have it, some dont (or am i wrong?).
well, because i never had this problem with the iriver firmware,
i turned "reduce ticking" OFF. it went well but after some time ticking appeared
and i turned "r.t." ON.
a few months later i turned "r.t." OFF again because i was wondering if its a hardware
or software issue and i thought it must be software as it didnt happen with the iriver firmware.
a few days ago, ticking showed up again.... im a bit confused -
could anyone explain to me, what this is about??
(hw/sw issue; problems etc.)
