iPod 5G + Database problem

Lexicon: I'd have thought so but I used Foobar and doublechecked the data against the windows tag checker.

The only reason I can figure for those tags appearing is that rockbox was autogenerating them based on the filenames... but I can't figure why.

Also even if the files where deleted if the database is loaded into RAM (as mine was) then surely there's some room for overlap?

check this, maybe something useful? http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/lofiversion/index.php/t38589.html

...and hence my question about not having track number tags - thus forcing rockbox to do *something*, but not what you expected?

yeah, I was wondering - does load database to RAM cause anything to persist through reboots/re-initializations?

And yet I have plenty of other tracks that have no track number data embedded which are just sorted alphabetically, which is what makes this so confounding.
