This flashes by and then displays a long list of credits.
On install sanspatcher says it's done successfully, "press enter to exit" but the E280 unit still shows "writing" on the LCD. Can't shut down, have to remove battery.
While browsing Font folder for the first time and selecting different fonts:
Data Abort 0004168
Hangs; have to remove battery.
Wish I could remember which font.
Only did this the first time. Now we can get around. Tried lots of fonts without another hang from this menu.
Connecting USB cable shows a USB icon but nothing happens E280 hangs have to remove battery. Probably not implemented yet.
Under Files: All the existing Sansa directories are there except,.. no Music folder so no songs. Checked the Database, no songs.
copied some music files to the root directory and now we have songs.
There are a couple of hidden folders in the Sansa root you can see in WindowsExplorer when the E280 is connected via the sansa firmware.
This has sorted itself out after a few reboots. The Music directory is now accessible.
Now both firmware systems show two copies of every song in the player but not in winexplorer. Hmm,..
Sansa has Hi/Lo output for volume to drive real headphones but I don't see an option for this in RB. The RB volume setting all the way up isn't very loud with big headphones.
clicks, pops, dropouts on all music files. Lame encoded seemed like it had the least problems.
stereo channels swapped on the wav file; L is R and R is on the L.
clicks and pops are followed by shifts in stereo image or weird eq changes. Checked the sounds page and everything is at default.
Jerky thumb wheel response while song is playing.
Tried to load the database in ram but it didn't seem to make much difference.
Next boot while trying to access the song nfo as a song was playing with the thumb wheel the cursor just randomly jumped all over the directory tree. Holding the power button down for 15 seconds turned it off with a shutdown message.
The following boot all playback was in mono. I corrected this in the sounds/settings menu.
Running the battery bench plugin with a song playing yields:
Prefetch abort at EBE8FFB6
Holding down the power button for 15 seconds turns it off with no shutdown message.
When I hold the << key and the power button at the same time to boot to the Sansa firmware I find some changes I made in RB are in effect in Sansa. Like the back light timeout.
Keep up the good work, emn.
