just move the rockbox.ipod file from inside the /.rockbox/ folder into the root and it should work
you see the ipodlinux bootloader looks for it in the root of the ipod.

80 GB iPod with iPodLinux installed

When I try to load rockbox from my Loader2, I get the "no .rockbox directory".
My .rockbox directory is obviously there (I can see it in my iPod's root)

In my loader.cfg, I have
Rockbox @ (hd0,1)/.rockbox/rockbox.ipod

I'm sure I downloaded the 64MB version

I'm not sure what other information could be of use, but let me know, and I'll supply it. ;)

And is sda2 set as primary, and that's where your .rockbox folder is?
