HELP: H320 Can't load any firmware

The problem:

I installed rockbox and had it running fine for about a week. I decided I didn't want to use rockbox, so I deleted the .Rockbox folder. I was loading the iriver firmware by holding the REC button and that was working fine.

So I gave my H320 to my girlfriend to use as a portable harddrive for a day (bad idea), I got it back from her and I tried to turn it on, no good. Rockbox doesnt load (obviously, I deleted the .Rockbox folder, so I just be the -1 message) but when I hold REC the iriver firmware doesn't load either, it flashes the "loading original firmware message quickly,and then turns off.

I can still connect it to the pc via the rockbox usb boot loader, but thats it. Ive tried reinstalling rockbox but that doesnt seem to work either, when I extract the rockbox files to the root directory I don't get the .rockbox folder. just a whole lot of files.

Any help would be appreciated.

Use a better extraction tool, or make sure yours is set up to preserve the folder structure, firstly. It sounds like you aren't extracting properly.
