How does one interpret the current build table?
(1/1)
major_works:
I'm fairly new to Rockbox and am using it on my Sansa e270.
One thing that has puzzled me from the start is how to interpret the red, yellow, and green color coding on the Current Build table at build.rockbox.org. I think I read somewhere that if the grid squares under your model show up as red, one should avoid installing that build.
Can someone please explain, or point me to a previous discussion? I tried searching for related topics and looked through the wiki but couldn't find any explanation.
nls:
Red = error in the build and the number is the number of errors.
Yellow = warnings same thing with the number
Green = No warnings or errors
Now, what does this mean?
Some builds are always red, this is because of archos rombox being broken, in those bilds rombox does not build but regular rockbox is fine. If there would be more errors or if another build turns red, the build will generally not finnish so there is no way to install it.
Warnings is generally not something a user has to worry about, they can be triggered by a large number of things in the code and should be harmless.
