Rockbox Worries (need help)

K, here's the score. I got Rockbox on my ipod, and (this isn't caused by rockbox, proven because my bro's not-rockbox'd ipod is doing it too) my ipodvideo's music, videos, and podcasts are jumbled up, and it's screwin up my ipod (strangly, Rockbox is perfectly fine). I need to reformat my ipod, but I'm nervous, bucause my ipod's backup boot partition was lost in a computer crash. So here's my question: Can I set my ipod back to factory settings without deleting Rockbox and expect it to be fine? I really need help here (btw- If anyone knows why my videos and music randomly jumbled up, it'll really help me out to know why it did that.

I'm not really sure what you mean by "all jumbled up".  If you reformat your iPod you will lose rockbox and all of your music and files including rockbox.  After you reinstall it you can just use itunes to put the apple firmware back on and then reinstall rockbox.

What exactly means "randomly jumbled up"?

If you use the ipod restore function of itunes it will overwrite Rockbox, but there is no problem in reinstalling it afterwards. If you want to you can always keep a copy of the .rockbox folder (but will need to install the bootloader again in all cases).

By "jumbled up" I mean my Videos and Podcasts have magically moved from their respective sections of my ipod, and into my music folder where they are audio files (and what's the point of watching a video if you can't watch it). and I can't fix it. Please help me out. THe whole problem is if it's alright to reformat my ipod without having the backup boot partition...
However, if you know how my music and videos mixed up in the first place, By all means, please say so.

While I'm here, My brother thinks my music and videos mixed up because I use my ipod as a flash drive very often. Can using an ipod as a flashdrive really do this? I have a feeling that it isn't the case, but somthing worse

Why reformat?  Why not just delete the music and videos and reload them with iTunes?
