iaudio X5 - database does not gather played items

(1/1)

malatorr:
I don't really know if it is a bug...

I have installed rockbox 2 days ago. One of my incentives to use it is the database (X5 does not have a native databse or searching features). But it does not work properly, it does not gather played items so the most played and last played lists are empty and never played is always equals to the total number of files even when I played a lot of files.

I'm using this configuration:
gather runtime data on
load to ram on
auto update on

thanks a lot!

I'd say you do NOT have the exact same issue, the original poster says His database isn't collecting statistics when He's playing His files from His already initialized database.
You are saying you don't get any information in Your database when you are initializing it. Two quite different issues.
And You are not saying anything about what You do when "nothing ever ends up in it" - the database.
What version of Rockbox are You running?
What settings do You have?
How do You initialize the database, and what do You do afterwards?
It takes a while for the database to index "thousands of mp3s".
I don't know if it's necessary any more but I always power cycle when I've initialized the database.

Malator; if you "export modifications" do you get anything in the resulting textfile? Do you have directory cache turned on?

ColdSphinx:
hmm, the database on my x5 60gb works correctly in every way.
can't reproduce your faults.
