mpeg videos stopping after a few minutes?

ok, so my problem is this, everytime I try to watch a video longer than, around 2 minutes, the plugin closes and here i am looking at my file selection again. any thoughts on why it wont play the entire movie? btw im using rockbox on my gigabeat f10.

i assume it is the latest, i downloaded and installed it saturday night. i followed a link through a site to this page

Saturday night is too old -- there have been improvements since then. Use a "current build".

Just as a note, "latest" usually means "downloaded sometime less than an hour ago."

Builds are made frequently throughout the day (any time a developer changes something) so generally if your build doesn't have today's date, it's "old", and if you didn't just download it and verify the bug, it's not "the latest".

ok, that fixed it. But is there any way to get the backlight to stay on during playback with the dc adapter plugged in?

hmm, very strange. Only after i removed the adapter did the backlight stay on. thats using the build from around 3:30 today

what is your backlight while plugged in setting, if it is set to off, that would explain it :-)
