mpegplayer A/V sync - please report experiences
Llorean:
Yes, but if everything works in OUR videos, then we need to know what's different about your video to cause this problem.
Which means we need a sample file.
Just telling us what happens is not enough information to fix it.
Colombo:
problem start at revision 12913, Mon Mar 26 01:32:31 2007 UTC
Can you give me build Revision 12884 for test?

--- Quote ---Okay, on my Nano, the audio and video stay in sync just fine, it just drops a LOT of frames.

I have such situation too, and to make video smooth without skipping so many frames i set off Skip Frames option. Then video became good, and even A/V sync became good in some videos, but in other A/V sync is bad, and in my opinion for Nanos new improvement isnt good, cause before it video and A/V sync was nice but now... Â :(

Can you try the latest current build? Â This should improve playback when Skip Frames is On.

I've tried it. Looks better than yesterday but anyway its worse than before improvement.
Llorean:
Didro: Yes, but before the improvement if your file had been longer it would've fallen out of sync over time. Try encoding files that are within the limitations of the hardware.
Colombo: What will testing on an earlier revision do? If there's a problem, give us a sample file. But we're not going back to the older code, because it IS worse overall, so saying "It worked in an older revision" won't do much good. We need a sample file, as I keep saying.

Please, can you explain me what is the "files that are within the limitation of the hardware". :) I'm not good in English so its hard to understand.
