mpegplayer A/V sync - please report experiences
Chronon:
He just told you not to use "thx" and then you blatantly use it twice in your next post. :-\
I do not understand your question.
Soaa-:
A/V Sync is Audio/Video synchronization. It's a feature that keeps track of the audio and video streams and synchronizes them, so there isn't one that plays faster than the other.
It has nothing to do with A/V cables, so it's normal that you don't see the video on TV.

Thanks for your kind explanations...
I think there is no way to stream video over TV-out cables

i have an 80 gb video ipod. The videos it plays are totally out of sync. The audio is a delayed by more than 10 seconds. I checked the same file on the computer on the vlc player and it works fine there. Anyone have a solution to this problem?
Chronon:
You need to provide more information than that. What revision are you using? What settings are you using for mpegplayer (particularly the Skip frame and limit FPS options)? Finally, what settings did you use when you transcoded your files for use with Rockbox?
