He thought you were using an old build because you were renaming to m2v. .mpg should and will work fine with a properly installed current build.

Thanks guys, the bootloader thing worked!!

when i tried it i got good speeds (from 18 to 24fps) but sometimes  i got an
"Prefetch abort, Error in C0EDBABE"

its kinda cool sounding error,but can somebody help me solve this problem?
when i play a video ill first get this error, ill restart rockbox then it'd be fine.
I've tried diff'rent videos incl. the elephants dream. any help would be much appreciated.

I have a 30 gb ipod video.
When I try A / V cable to get video into my tv, nothing is seen on tv but the sound is heard properly.

I set
Display FPS:Yes
Limit FPS: Yes
Skip Frames: Yes

I attempt to play the following file.
http://download.rockbox.org/mpeg/elephantsdream-q6-320x176-596kbps.mpg

Mpeg player plays the file perfect. But I need to have the video through my tv screen.
What I am suppose to do more to get out of this problem?

As for the video output cable, this is not supported at this time.
