Buttons stopped working after Boot Loader

Hoderlin:
This is just not my week. Earlier this week I ruined my mp3 collection (200G) and today I thought "lets bring a revolution to my future collection increasing quality". To display the quality (FLAC) I needed Rockbox in my ipod mini (2g).
I installed it, but forgot to extract the files to the ipod directory. I got the message that I encountered in many forum topics:
"...Can't Load rockbox.ipod file not found..."
But I can't neither do the reboot nor the disk mode. ipod doesn't show in windows not itunes.
I've opened the ipod (lower case) and disconnected the cable and reconnected. The apple logo appeared but I cannot do the disk mode (click+play). I've tried it many times. The only button that works is the hold.
I think this is not normal, and I might have ruined it. Do anyone has some solution? Thank you for the help!
gnu:
press menu + select until the ipod reboots, then immediatly select + play. If you think your ipod is damaged, try menu + select and then select + rewind and go through all the tests..
The key combinations are NOT stored on the HDD of your mini - therefore rockbox cannot destroy them -> they will always work.
