5G - "Data abort at 0003066C"

The last usable build for me on my 5G (60gb) iPod has been 20070207 (7 Feb 2007)... all other builds that I've tried (which have all had the new menu structure) give me the error "Data abort at 0003066C" whenever I try to play any file, of any kind...

If I revert back to 20070207, everything works fine...

I should also add that it's running version 1.1.2 of the Apple firmware...

Does anyone know what's going on?

Hi -
suspect I have something of the same - same behavior, but 'data abort at 000305F0'

this happened a month or so ago, but I was able to walk it back to a versio I could use. But now I get the same error message whether booting or when attaching to the PC, so not sure how to get the correct files onto the machine...)

PS Have tried booting into original firmware; I get the message that it is doing so, but before it does, it reboots into RB

is that the ipodpatcher.exe link from the online manual? if so, yes. no effect. progress is being made however; finally got it to load orig firmware so I _could_ load bootlauncher.

will now go back to earlier build until find one that boots. thanks for the reply - still think I'm doing something wrong, but as long as it works!
