ARM Second Processor... Put in the summer of code?

What is the viability of getting the ARM's second processor (iPods) to work? This would greatly improve performance on my ipod nano which tends to get usable speeds, but a very laggy gui.

Possibly put that/codec optimizations in the summer of code?

And it's not an ARM thing, it's PortalPlayer specific.
