blue screen of death?!?!

I just loaded the boot file for rockbox on my f10  and right after it shut it's self off, and when i turned the thing back on all i get is the gigabeat load screen then a bright blue screen. now i dont even get blue it just turns whiteand when conected it get half way through the load screen then shuts down help please

Is this your first time loading Rockbox?  We'll need more info from you.  

1. What "boot" file did you load?  
2. Is that the only thing you loaded?  
3. Can you see your GB when it is attached to the PC in this state?  
4. What files are on you Gigabeat aside from Music or Photos?  What is the directory structure as it stands now?
 Â  i.e. K:\GBSYSTEM, K:\.rockbox, K:\Music, K:\Photos

ok ya this is the first time i have used rockbox, i loaded the file FWIMG01.DAT into the root file if the gigabeat and when it's conected to the computer, it just shuts down, and my computer doesnt even know its there.

FWIMG01.DAT does not belong in the root, and the instructions do not say to put it there.

oops sry not root its in the fwimg file like the instructions said to do, i messed up loading something but all ive loaded is the bootloader

Please tell us the exact series of steps you took, including exactly where you placed each file.

So, what you're saying, is that you haven't followed the instructions completely?

Follow them explicitly.  You can't just copy one file over and expect things to work properly.  If there is a problem with the instructions, please let us know so that we can fix them.  Let us know exactly where something doesn't make sense or is missing.

i use following the instructions but i think my batiery died and it shut off im sitting here looking at my gb and it just has a bright blue screen, is there like some kind of safe mode to get into the system agin or did i just brick it?

ok so im doing the gigabeat recovery procedure http://www.rockbox.org/twiki/bin/view/Main/GigabeatFXPort where do i find a copy of the GBSYSTEM file, and if its the one from the disk that Toshiba sent me how do i get it from the disk.

how recent is your bootloader. I was having the same problem until I built a new FWIMG01.DAT

I used the newer of the two on the http://www.rockbox.org/tw...Installation_Instructions page and it didnt work so i used the old one and it shut down do you know how to get a working copy of the gbsystem file??

At the bottom of the Gigabeat Port page is a GBSYSTEM.zip.  It contains the minimum files needed to boot the Gigabeat.  This directory structure along with the downloaded bootloader: FWIMG01.DAT and a recent build of Rockbox is all you need.

 i've tried every gbsystem file ive been able to find on the web, and using winRAR i cant seem to get rid of the recycle bin, and also when i tried using winRAR instead of just the normal windows program it tries to compress the gbsystem folder into .RAR is there a way to prevent this???

I'm not following what you are trying to do.  You still haven't said what you've done; where you're at; nor what part of the instructions you don't understand.   What files/folders are on your Gigabeat right now.  We can't really help you unless we have this information.
