This archive:
http://www.rockbox.org/twiki/bin/viewfile/Main/GigabeatFXPort?rev=3;filename=GBSYSTEM.zip
contains empty versions of the files in the GBSYSTEM folder.
If you delete your GBSYSTEM folder entirely, then extract that file's GBSYSTEM folder (watch out, it actually creates GBSYSTEM inside of a GBSYSTEM, so you need to move it back one level), then put Rockbox's FWIMG01.DAT in place in that set of folders, it is the minimal amount of files you need on your player to be able to load Rockbox.
It WILL break the original firmware, but it'll shorten load times for Rockbox, so if you're just using Rockbox you're all good.
