Is there any way i can reinstall just the rockboy error isntead or re-downloading the whole system?
No. Just download a fresh current build and unzip to your player.

You still have not answered my question on whether you have got anything working correctly.

No nothing has been working right with rockboy at all. I'll bother with re installing rockbox after my trip to Mexico because i'll need to reisntall everything i've added to my ipod.

None of the ROMS have worked and i've done everything correct.

No, you won't.  Did you even read Bascule's last post?  All you need to do is download and unzip a current build.  It will take about two minutes, tops.

Well wouldn't I have to erase the build on my current player which would erase the files I currently have in it  and then have to transfer over that. I'll jsut take care of it as i'm leaving in like 2 hours.

It only overwrites the Rockbox files, it doesn't touch any custom WPSs or config files or go anywhere near your music (presuming of course you know how to drive your zip utility... ;) )
