Gigabeat S : Question
« on: March 18, 2007, 06:33:37 PM »
I know that some people are currently working on getting Rockbox ported to the Gigabeat S, and I had a question on the format of the player. How exactly are playlists stored? Are they stored in the portion that you cannot view when the player is connected? There is a file that is called "playlists" on my gigabeat, but nothing is there. I'd like to back up my gigabeat and I'd like to pull all of the playlists that I have, but I'm not sure where to start.

Otherwise, is there any software that could back up my gigabeat/allow me to copy playlists?

Thanks

(I wasnt sure where to post this, so sorry if it's in the wrong place)

Considering these forums are about Rockbox, and questions about how to use the original firmware don't belong here at all, the correct answer to where to post this is "On another forum."

I figured that people here were generally knowledgeable about mp3 players and such. Just thought you might be helpful. Sorry.

And we expect people to read and follow our posting guidelines, having clicked that they agree to do so during the forum signup process. It sounds like we were both let down in this instance.
