Pokemon
« on: March 18, 2007, 12:23:45 PM »
It's a good game, which has good controls but I have a problem, the problem is that I can't heal at the first pokemon center and I have to walk back to my moms to get healed and it's a pain, what happens at the Pokemon center is that I go there and they ask to heal my pokemon and she turns like she took them and it just stops there, I only wait a few seconds, so should i wait longer then half a minute or what. So if anyone has a clue help me.

This is a compatibility issue with gnuboy if I remember correctly. I think the PokéCenters wont work when sound is disabled. Try again with sound enabled if you have it off.

That is why I think rockbox's is the best OS (firmware) for ipod out there. It has quick help and they know what there doing and will help. So thank you so much.

The problem only occurs in Red and Blue and possibly Yellow. The Game Boy Color versions are unaffected.

Rockboy - pokemon healing
« Reply #7 on: April 17, 2007, 04:31:34 AM »
Hi.
I'm using rockboy on my 5g iPod 30GB and when I'm playing pokemon games the game freezes when I try to heal my pokemons in the Pokemon Center. It happens in all of the pokemon games, like Red, Yellow, Gold etc.
Has anyone experienced this problem and maybe know any solution ?
Thanks for any help.

@kobiq
Merged with previous discussion on this issue. If you had done a forum search, you would most likely have found this (not very) old thread giving you the answer you needed ;)

I've done a search, but probably not a good one, if I didn't found this thread ;]
Thanks for the help, bascule. Setting the sound on really helps :)

You can just save through the actual game menu.

It didnt work... because i dont know how to quit the game, so everytime i'm done playing, I reboot my ipod, and when I start pokemon back up, it didnt save.

how do you quit? and how do you save the game?

I think that the menu in ipods is accessed by the hold switch, try flipping it on and off a few times.
