Screen just went black?

I've just installed your software and given it a try and i must say its nice thanks :). Although when i was changing screens it just disappeared. its gone to a black screen.I can press the power button and it will go back to the music playing screen or turn it off and it will say shutting down. What on earth happened to my screen? lol

The player is a Toshiba Gigabeat f40 the theme was http://www.rockbox.org/twiki/bin/view/Main/WpsGigabeatF#Rockamp_Black_for_Gigabeat
now its just black anyone know what happened and how to fix it? thanks for any help  :)

The backlight of the screen automatically turns off to preserve battery live. Have a look at the manual for more information:

That theme uses a black background, if the foreground color somehow got set to black too the screen would appear, black :-)
I don't know if there is abutton to press on startup to clear the settings, but you can connect the gigabeat to a computer and delete the ./rockbox/config.cfg file to get back to defaults

Switch the hold on right after you start the player to clear the settings, that should fix it.
