Is it possible to play albums without pause in Rockbox?
(1/1)

I am thinking of buying and Iaudo X5 and installing Rockbox on it. I have several CD's where there isn't any pause between tracks. They play without puase in Winamp on the PC and I was hoping they would do the same using Rockbox. I also have an Audible Book on CD that has 11 tracks on each CD and the tracks have no pauses between them.
There is nothing in the manual specifically about this. Is cross fade the only way to do this?
I was interested in Rockbox because of the large fonts and talking menus. Checking the manual am I right in thinking that you can switch off filename voice prompts on the fly BEFORE playing a particular album? After first running a script to generate the filename voice prompts when loading up the mp3 player. This script on your website generates filename.mp3.talk and _direname.talk that are placed in every directory on the mp3 player with music files in them.
Thank you very much for your attention.

Rockbox gaplessly plays all codecs that support gapless. This is what you are asking about when you say you want "no pause between tracks."
I am not the best one to talk about Rockbox and voice - but I bet someone more knowledgeable than me on that topic will chime in very soon.

You can switch filename voicing on and off whenever you wish, but it seems to me that you think it will speak while just playing back, which it wont, it will only speak filenames when you are browsing your files. (It will of course also speak while browsing files and music is playing) :-)
