Ipod Nano mpegplayer HELP

im having troubles with my mpeg player on my nano. i convert the files using VLC and then when i play them on my ipod the sound is out of time. what can i do?

I also have a nano.  You can try pressing the menu button, click on limit frames if the audio seems slower than the video, and click YES.  If the audio is faster than the video, click skip frames and YES. This may not always work, because the framerate might be too low or too high for the player.
