What happened? Much better sound on H10's now...

I updated my build from february to a march SVN version.
I immediatly thought that the sound was better but thought this would be only me and didnt write anything about that in the forums.
But several other users of the build did report that by themselves too.

So i am just interested.. what has caused this increase in sound quality?
Is this just iriver H10 specific? Does anyone know?

(Did someone accidently activate SRS-WOW  ;D)

i think it might be that bass and treble actually work now, becuase i remeber before all bass and treble did was make the volume louder, so i always had it set to the max, but then after an update i realized that there was a difference in sound i looked and found that they fixed bass and treble, and that the scale was different (instead of 9 db being the max i think its around 20 now)
