Ipod Video 30Gb, wont boot
Sambolina3:
Have you tried plugging it into your computer instead of a charger???
Deth20:
Does'nt matter what i do, its likely dead. But i have still hope that it will work in about 36hours or more. Because now I'm hearing a really high frequency noise + the ticking. Thats good proof that it might be a capacitor of the DC-DC converter (they usually develop high frequency noise)
Deth20:
3 days now! For 3 days, I'm only hearing this sound from my ipod
(Change the file name to .mp3 instead of .txt, The forum doesnt allow mp3 files, even if its for a good cause)
(Yes i know, my computer has really loud fans. But you can hear the ticking clearly)

Llorean:
The forum doesn't allow MP3 files, because the forums are for DISCUSSION.
For bug reports, you report the bug in the proper place, and attach the file THERE. Which DOES allow MP3 files.
It's not an issue of "cause", it's an issue of "Nobody has yet come up with a proper reason to attach an MP3 here, but does so anyway blatantly ignoring the fact that it's not allowed."
There's also plenty of alternative hosting for files out there. Our forums have a very limited amount of space available for attachments, which is why it's primarily limited to text and text-like formats.

Way to stick it to the man Llorean. Deth 20 have you called apple by any chance? Are you even getting a sad ipod face or anything??? Mabye its just the ipod display, did you leave it in excessive cold or something? :-[
