Out of the loop lately on h10
« on: March 14, 2007, 10:43:39 PM »
Alright so I used rockbox a while back and it was still kinda in progress. It couldnt play wma's, no radio, some other struggles. But it was still great in many aspects. Question is, has dual booting been done yet? With this iriverh10. And if so, could someone direct me to a guide.

Read the changelog. It's linked at the frontpage ::)

I'm not going to read the manual or install instructions in order to then tell you - you'd be better reading them yourself.

You need a dual boot enabled bootloader and then you need to make a decrypted version of the original h10.mi4 only after that is done can you hold the left botton to go to OF.

There is also a link to a guide in the navigation bar to the left.  It's called the "manual."

By the way, the link on your site does not link to the guide, but to page 6 of the thread that contains the guide.

Ok, I think that I fixed the link so that it goes to the correct section of that forum. I have special settings so that I see it in the wrong order, so if someone could comfirm that it works would be great!  http://007quick.googlepages.com/home

It is possible to configure Rockbox to dual-boot, so that you can choose at start-up whether to run the original firmware or Rockbox. In order to dual-boot, you must first configure your player for dual-boot capability by following the directions on this wiki page: http://www.rockbox.org/twiki/bin/view/Main/H10InstallationBeta.

when i go there, nothing comes up but a messed up page w/out instructions. thats taking from the guide any ideas?

Where are you finding instructions that tell you to go to that page?

The instructions you should be following are those in the manual.

I still need to know where those instructions came from, so I can fix them.

I think the best guide I have seen is on mistic river. http://www.misticriver.net/showthread.php?t=46338&page=6 take a look there! I would try to merge the dual boot guilde and then post them in the wiki!
