Not able to connect to PC since rockbox is on the Sansa E270
tarant:
Ok, it was a little bit early. :'(
Any firmware from http://daniel.haxx.se/sansa/mi4.html don't work properly. Some crashes by "refresh database" and other when I try to play a track. And they crash when I try to set the MSC mode.
Llorean:
I'm using the 1.01.11a from there and it is working fine. Did you verify the MD5 sum after downloading it?

No, I haven't. How can I do it?
One little thing: since i have installed 1.01.11a i have radio options. (!?) but in my player exists no radio. i hadn't that menu point before.
Llorean:
The US devices have a radio. If you have a European device, you do not have a radio and shouldn't be installing an American firmware.
To test the MD5 you'll need to find a tool that can do so for your operating system. Just use Google.

Ah, MD5 is nothing else than a hash code like SHA-1, etc ... sorry. I should have known.
Do you know how can I get a current firmware. The only european firmware from Daniel's website does not work. How can I get (fetch) one with the sansa firmware updater? I know somebody who has the same player (e270 european). Is it possible when he renews his firmware to save the file? How can that be done with the firmware updater software? Or can I easily backup the firmware from the friend's player somehow?
thanks!
