Help with Rockbox Sim EMU

I have the latest build, and this keeps happening to me, and I don't know why!!  

Whenever I run a Theme that I have created, or any theme for that matter, only in the EMU (it works fine when I boot it on my iPod) it will not show my date script, it won't show any fonts except the default helvR10.

I have no idea why, I don't know if it's my build, or something on my end.

Any help would be appreciated.

by EMU do you mean the simulator?  Did you download+unzip the fonts package for the simulator?  Also, where did you download the simulator from?  If from here, read the note about fonts

Yes, I have all the fonts that are from my iPod on there. That's where I'm pulling the font names from to test them.

Second, yes, I mean the simulator. I got the simulator build from the exact location you posted, and it has the issues I listed.

EDIT: As well, I should mention I am using the iPod Video build, if that makes any difference.

Hm, strange - I tried this on my local build of the sim, and it works ok for me, which is why I'm guessing they are somehow not setup properly in your sim.  If you go to the archos/.rockbox/Fonts folder on your PC do all the font files show up for you (I think I counted 66 of them)?  It even works for me using the rasher builds (once I've also downloaded the font package for the sim)

If you run the sim and go to Settings>General Settings>Display>Browse Fonts, can you successfully change the font that way?  If so, I'd think the themes should also work.


Edit: Just thought, are you running the multifonts patch on your ipod? Could that be the difference you're describing?

Alright, I'll try to clear it up a bit, and thanks for the help  

I am running the Daily build from March 1st on my iPod, no extra modification save themes that I have put on it.

For my Sim, I have the Rasher build from March 11th running on that.

Also, I found that when a theme calls for a font, it does not work, but if I go into the rockbox config manually and change it, it works. So I guess that's my work around for that.

The time/date not showing up still bothers me though. Right now it just shows H:M P, as my command for the time is: %c H:M Pc
For my Zelda font that I made the other day the same thing happened.

I don't understand what could be causing this.

EDIT: I posted up my finished product here, but still couldn't get the Sim to run things right... and since I don't have my iPod I kind of played it by ear. Hope this helps clear up the problem some. Thanks again for the help, I hope I can figure this out

I have no problem loading fonts in a theme..   I even changed your theme to load a different font (e.g. Nimbus-19) and that worked fine in the simulator too.  So I can't figure out why that won't work for you

As for showing the Date :  it seems that the realtime clock is not supported in the Simulator, which means that all clock handling (including handling %c in WPS) is disabled in the Simulator for ipod, for some reason.  Actually, one of the devs is making that fix right now so this should work in the next build.

Why was this disabled? This did work before in the simulators but now it dosn't. Why the change?
