Play all not just a folder?

(1/1)

sakichirocks:
How do I play all my music and not just one folder in music?  In other words, how do I select my entire library instead of just a file in the library to play?  I looked through the manual and I couldn't find anything.

Thank you.

mishra:
if im not mistaken cant you create a root playlist that includes all compatible audio files on the root?
I know this features on the ipod, i dont know about other devices

Llorean:
The easiest method is to just keep all of our music folders inside one folder called "Music" so that you can just insert that folder.

If this doesn't work for you, use the "Create Playlist" option in the "Playlist" menu while your filetree is at the root.

Rockbox is Rockbox.  Bar hardware specific differences (e.g. radio and recording), and button mappings it is virtually the same on all targets.

Make sure you have recursively insert directories turned on, and select the highest level of directory you want to include, be that the root directory, or one called music etc, and insert that into a playlist.  If it is root, then do as Llorean said.
