rockdoom.wad:

doom1.wad: Doom (Shareware)

Get the 6.6MB free wad zip here

Those are the ones i put on it.. "Also when it says Create a directory called /.rockbox/doom/ on your player (i.e. F:\.rockbox\doom\ for Windows users - where F: is the drive letter for your DAP) and save the following file in that directory:" Does that mean create that in the root of the ipod?

Well i tryed to put them in the main part of the ipod. Like when you go into "my computer" and click the removable disk the first menu is where i put the folder like where you see calander photos notes ect.. but when i tried to make the folder called F:\.rockbox\doom\ it would not let me make folder called that so i took out all // and made the folder rockboxdoom....

So, despite the fact that the instructions say they have to be in a very specific folder, you first tried to not put them in that folder, then, when you tried to put them in that folder but couldn't make the folder, you just put them in another folder, and expected it to work?

They HAVE to be in the doom folder, that is inside the .rockbox folder.

You do have a .rockbox folder on your device, because otherwise Rockbox will not work right. Find that folder, go into it, make a doom folder inside it, and put the .wad files in it.

The instructions tell you what the folder needs to be named, because it needs to be named exactly that. If it didn't matter, the instructions would say it doesn't matter.

when i say create new folder and try to rename it it will not let me name it F:\.rockbox\doom\ then it just takes the slashes out so i am left with F:.rockboxdoom.

Please, try to actually carefully read what I'm saying.

As I told you, the .rockbox folder ALREADY EXISTS. Go into it and create a folder called doom.

Okay, you've already told me you read the instructions for it. You know what to put in the folder.

You need rockdoom.wad plus any game .wad files that you want to play. Seriously, try reading the instructions carefully and thinking about them for a little bit.
