Gigabeat dock is not recognized by winxp

Chronon:
You're certainly welcome to start a wiki page on this project.  I browsed through the Gigabeat related pages and found my way to this data sheet for the USB hub present in the cradle:
CY7C65640A -- TetraHubâ„¢ High-Speed USB Hub Controller.  Page 7 gives the pin assignments for the other downstream ports.  Page 15 gives a schematic for how to wire the connections to a USB jack.

psycho_maniac:
so you can have the dock plugged into your computer and also have your gigabeat plugged in and transfer your files to it? i connected mine and it said i needed a driver.

burkjavier:
I can't speak for XP, but I never had an issue transferring files with dock, while using Linux.  I used the dock most of the time, when my F40 was at my desk.  I never tried the USB port.

Chronon:
psycho_maniac: We were discussing the idea of gaining access to the unused USB ports in the TetraHub that's in the cradle.  You would have to make your own custom dock and wire a new jack to get access to a usable port.  This would simply give a way to plug an extra USB device into your computer.
