codec failure

(1/1)

dario:
Hi!
One week ago i got my ipod video 30 and today i tried to install rockbox. But i still can't make it work. When i finished the installation i could not find the songs i had and i neither can listen to the one i copy into the root folder. I always get codec faliure... what i'm doing wrong??

Thanks

GodEater:
Firstly, the reason you can't find all the iTunes music is because it's hidden. Use Rockbox's database feature to find it for you.

Secondly, I suspect the reason you're getting codec failures is probably as a result of not having properly extracted the rockbox.zip file to your iPod.

Can you confirm you have a .rockbox folder in the root of the iPod, and that inside it you have a codecs directory?

DigitalAdr:
Hi!

I have exactly the same problem of Dario.

And i can confirm i have a .rockbox folder in the root of the iPod.
I have the folder with the codecs in the right place.

I can't solve the problem.

Can someone help me?

[Edit: It's all OK! Today is the third day that i have this problem. I have solved overwriting the existing ".rockbox" folder and reinstalling the bootloader.

Thanks anyway for the Great RockBox!  ;D
