codec failure

Hi!
One week ago i got my ipod video 30 and today i tried to install rockbox. But i still can't make it work. When i finished the installation i could not find the songs i had and i neither can listen to the one i copy into the root folder. I always get codec faliure... what i'm doing wrong??

Firstly, the reason you can't find all the iTunes music is because it's hidden. Use Rockbox's database feature to find it for you.

Secondly, I suspect the reason you're getting codec failures is probably as a result of not having properly extracted the rockbox.zip file to your iPod.

Can you confirm you have a .rockbox folder in the root of the iPod, and that inside it you have a codecs directory?

Hi!

I have exactly the same problem of Dario.

And i can confirm i have a .rockbox folder in the root of the iPod.
I have the folder with the codecs in the right place.

I can't solve the problem.

Can someone help me?

[Edit: It's all OK! Today is the third day that i have this problem. I have solved overwriting the existing ".rockbox" folder and reinstalling the bootloader.
