Installation/changing builds in Mac OSs

(1/2) > >>

MikeStanton:
Now, as we all know, Mac computers do not show ".[whatever]" folders, as they are reserved for system stuff. So, sadly, I cannot install any builds, or new bootloaders. Is there a way to circumvent these OS restrictions? Please and thank you.

Llorean:
While it hides the folder, you should still be able to extract the archive directly to the device, so it should still be possible just by doing it that way.

Does that not work?

saratoga:
That restriction is also only for the GUI, so I think the standard unix command line should work fine.

GodEater:
Apparently there's a third party utility for OSX called Onyx which lets you toggle (amongst other things) the visibility of the . folders in the GUI.

MikeStanton:
Really, I'm not good at all with command lines or system or anything... The only codes I know are HTML and WPS, to an extent. So anything that's user-friendly would be wonderful, thanks.
