AUGH, dual-core support broke my 5G iPod from playing music!
« on: March 04, 2007, 05:28:51 PM »
Yes, I cleared ALL settings (twice, and I double-checked), and when I try to play music, it comes up with:

Data abort

Somebody please fix it.  :-[

TIA.

The forums are not the right place for bug reports, and you know this. You've been around long enough.

What color background does your bootloader have?

Odd question (to me at least), but I know you know more than me.

My bootloader background (lines scrolling right after the Apple logo) is that default color, then the Rockbox logo the background is gray.

Wow, on the bug report I got a question of the exact same nature.

'that default color' doesn't mean anything to me.

Do you mean the OLD default color, which was light blue, or the NEW default color, which is black?

...two things now.

1.) I knew you were going to bash on my saying of 'that default color' right after I posted it.

2.) I have the old whitish-blue color...shoot, I guess that means I should reinstall Rockbox, huh?
Why don't we have any notes saying we should make sure we are on the latest bootloader?

Bleh, oh well...guess I should just reinstall.  Thanks for the one-on-one help.

Because it's supposed to work with either bootloader, though the second core should just do nothing if you're running the old one.

Remember: Rockbox is not released yet. If you're using out of date parts of it, it's mostly your responsibility to know that updates have been released.

When the release version comes out, if ever, it'll include a release version bootloader, but until then things will be constantly changing, and you can easily see in the changelog that updates have happened to any given thing.
