Encoding themes
« on: March 05, 2007, 02:46:36 PM »
Does anybody know how to encode themes so that the time is always displayed on the top (aligned right) and the battery level is always displayeed on the top (aligned left). I did this for a .wps but when i selected the theme the only time those appear are on the actual while playing screen, not regularly where i want them to.

That's because a WPS file only affects what is shown on the While Playing Screen.

You can't customise the other menu/browser screens except to turn on or off the statusbar which certainly shows the battery level and may show the time for RTC targets (but I don't know, as I have not got one)

Is there any way to modify the statusbar?

Not unless you modify the source code...

Oh, and before you ask me how to do that, it's not trivial. See here:

Or simply open the theme's .cfg and add statusbar=on (I think) on the last line

No, he wanted to change what the statusbar actually contains.

Plus, turning the statusbar on and off for a WPS should be done using the %we/%wd tags, not as a global setting that will not revert if a different theme is chosen.
