this is my first installing rock box it works great, but i accidentally left it on and it turned of and wont start. my computer doest not recognize it.

Nobody has ever reported a truly bricked iPod here. Ever.

Turn on the hold switch, then turn it off again, then hold menu+select for 30 seconds. If that doesn't work, plug it in to charge, wait two hours, and try it again (including the hold switch thing). Try the menu+select thing several times at this point, being very careful not to wiggle your fingers.

The problem was my charger wasn't plug in all the way.
