iriver H320 behaving weird when charging

Hi,

in the last few weeks I've come to realize that my iriver behaves in weird ways when I charge it: Just yesterday evening when I plugged it in it all looked all right and it displayed "Charging" and I went to bed. This morning, it displayed "Complete", so I unplugged it and shut off the socket line. Just now, I plugged my USB cable in to move some files and it first displayed "Please remove external battery pack" (which I don't have!) and then "Charging" again although I had never activated USB-charging in the settings, I can't even find that option in the new firmware. I had to switch it on first and plug the USB cable in afterwards.  Also, I realized from the boot-screen - when it shows the voltage of the battery for a short time - that it was far from fully charged.
Is anyone experiencing similar problems?

I am having the same problem with my H340 but with the addition of a worse symptom.

When I charge with RockBox active, all is well.

If I charge without the device swithed on I get the iRiver "Charging" and subsequently "Charged" screens. The worse symptom is that after this, I can't switch the box on!

I then struggle to get the box back to working at all! Involves timing of the plugging in post start up! Today though I can't even get any response from the device!
