files stay on computer?

i have a 60g ipod vid, wondering if i get rockbox if the files i put on there have to stay on my computer too, like if i was using reg itunes software. or do they transfer right to my ipod so i can remove them from my computer?

Rockbox doesn' t care what files are or are not on your computer.
