need help please
« on: February 28, 2007, 08:29:55 PM »
ok, i installed rockbox on my 60gb ipod video and i cant get my music to play. at first it had options for artists, albums, etc, etc, and when i clicked on them it would say "Database is not ready". then someone told me to go to the database options and click on initialize database. i did that, and now i do not have the options to play music at all. could anyone help me out here?? and how do i boot the original ipod fw in case i wanted to use that sometimes and rockbox sometimes?

Please first reference the manual, as is required by our forum posting guidelines. It should be able to help you with the questions you've asked.

If it says "Database not ready" then you didn't allow the initialization to finish, or you didn't shut down and turn it back on afterward. Or the initialization may have failed.

Rockbox comes with all the official plugins. Read the section of the manual or the PluginMpegplayer wiki page to learn more about Rockbox's limited video capabilities.
