Question for Author of Dock Pod Aqua

Basically, this is a technical forum. Most members are going to assume any posted message is serious unless it is 100% obvious that it's not.

In other words: If you don't mean something as it would be taken literally, don't say it here, it's very likely to be misinterpreted.

That being said, the change necessary to make a theme load a different font requires about 15 seconds of work, and that's if you type slowly (it's a single line in the .cfg file) as long as you pick a same-size font. It should be something you can manage for your own player rather effectively.

You seem to make the implication that others here have ample time to assist with your personalised "tweaks" and don't have their own time-consuming  jobs, college, school, housework, DIY, family, life commitments, personal interests and their own specific issues with rockbox to investigate and resolve.

You didn't even provide ANY useful information. Which magical player is the "Dock Pod Aqua" for??? What constitutes a "sexy" font?

Look in to it yourself. It really won't take too long, and you'll have the self-gratification of your own achievements when done.

Keep in mind that, especially now, screen size is a little less telling of the actual device in question.  With the amazing Screen Rotation patch, the Toshiba Gigabeat players are now able to use the 320x240x24 WPSs.

Here's what I find interesting: It would seem that rather than reading my original post and take THAT one apart for the purpose of seeing what my intentions are, people love to just jump on the easiest target, and do what they do best, when they've nothing better to do, or contribute. For the record, I don't have to justify anything to you, but for my own sanity, I'm going to explain this in a real simple fashion so that it doesn't confuse you.

My OP ASKED whether or not the author of the WPS had ever THOUGHT of doing said things, and it was not a FORMAL request. I know the difference, and if you read it properly, you'd understand that. So while my second post was definitely aimed at being sarcastic, the perceived rudeness was only due to the fact that it was assumed that I hadn't already thought of doing it myself, as well as assuming that I myself, had any time to do it.

And while it's true that it may be a fast mod (one which could be done by someone w/experience in less time than it is taking to reply to you post), it's also true that the author of the WPS might have a better idea as to what font(s) might look nicer w/their theme, and might want to play around w/it. Or not...depends.

And would you also like to acknowledge that it's rude to tell someone something that they already know, but are just doing it because it's the "in" thing to do ? You should. And what you should also do IMO, is try not to exude the same level of rudeness which you so modestly have accused ME of, because your post wreaks of rudeness. "Which magical player" ?  It's also pretty rude to keep a thread going with no basis for it other than trying to "one up" somebody. Again, there's nothing which you've said that I wasn't aware of when I posted my OP, it's just that no one bothered to read it or interpret it properly.

You can call that underlying intentions, and I'll agree, but in no way did I make a formal request for a WPS change. If the author replied by saying "yes, I've thought of it" , I probably would have been happy just to wait and see what happened.

Reply as you'd like, but if you think that trying to twist this into something that doesn't exist is the way to go....
