Nintendo Wiipod
« on: February 27, 2007, 01:03:30 AM »
Possibly my best theme to date, the nintendo wii comes to the ipod 5g ;D

Decided on a complete whim to make a wii theme; I wanted to take a more simple approach than I usually do for this WPS and I think it worked. Info displayed is Album, Artist Song (top to bottom) this information is displayed for the next song in the same order, alternating on the last line. The wiimote + pad serves as the playback buttons, the A button as the volume, the Power button as the batter (grey>red>yellow>green>blue>wii teal). The progress bar is a bit different, not a boring flat line, but an innovative (and maybe revolutionary) curve :D. I even found a matching font to go with it; the font is a bit bigger than in most of my WPS and the minimal amount of info on screen helps prevent clutter making for what I think is an easy to read WPS. Looks great on my white ipod.

As always any feedback/suggestions are greatly appreciated.

The background of the battery icons should probably be transparent because there is a visible white box in the second image

Wow, that's awesome. So incredibly sleek... The only thing stopping me from using it is if the font has Japanese support or not. Does it?

Check out here what glyphs (characters) are supported for the rockbox fonts:
http://rasher.dk/rockbox/fontstats/

Click on the 'Font Map' link for the respective font for a very useful chart.
Fake EDIT: Of course, this is probably a custom font, so won't be on that list... Any thoughts evilg123?

Here it is done, finished!  ;D Uploaded to the wiki and rockbox themes.org

Changes: just some touchups done to battery level, progress bar etc. moved time bar over to make some space.

@Twilight In Zero: sorry, but no japanese text, but since scrolling margins are used, just switching to a 12 pt font should be alright.

Thanks guys for your support, enjoy this theme ;)

Is that so? Maybe I'll run MS Gothic through the font converter a bunch of times, and put them up for people to use, like that guy did for the cryllic supporting fonts. Thank you. :)

I assume when you say MS Gothic you mean Microsoft's Gothic font.
We, as end users, have a right to use Microsoft fonts on our Microsoft OS computers, but do not have the right to redistribute them.

Is that so? What a pity. Are there any open-source unicode fonts?
