Battery % - Do I have to roll my own to get it?
« on: February 26, 2007, 02:59:04 PM »
Before I loaded Rockbox on my H120 I saw online a graphic of a WPS that showed battery % and voltage. Is there a WPS available that has this or do I have to create my own? TIA.

Question:

at http://www.rockbox-themes.org/index.php?res=160x128x2

it says:

Extract the zip file into the root folder or your player...

Do they mean to say Extract the zip file into the root folder of your player... ?

I extracted a couple into the root of the H120 and got differing results. I got a .wps file here: K:\wps with one. With the other I got a .wps file in K:\

All the other preinstalled .wps files are in K:\.rockbox\wps

Of course, the other associated files in the zipfiles went God knows where.

This is pretty confusing...

Both those WPS .zip files should be reported to the maintainer of rockbox-themes, as they need to be properly packaged.
If you come across a WPS .zip file improperly packaged on the wiki, feel free to fix it yourself, or PM me and I will do it.  That is a pet peeve of mine.

Soap is right (and it's a peeve that bugs me as well...) that some people do not set up their WPS .zip files correctly with the folder structure incorporated.

I just make a habit of looking inside the zips first to see how they are going to work...

I don't know how they are supposed to extract. I just sent you a PM indicating which WPS zips are extracting improperly (it's both of the ones I tried yesterday). I'm going to pour over the documentation on the pages you directed me to yesterday and try to get a grip on how this all works. Thanks.
