Database view language
« on: February 26, 2007, 12:41:24 PM »
Hi, this is my first message, hope in the right area.... first of all, thanks to all who made Rockbox project possible, I find it nice and useful.
Now to the question: I have switched language to italian, but I keep having the database search viev in english; is there a way I can turn that in italian too, or anyone can tell me where to search for the file that holds the values and translate them?
Thanks! ;D
Here attached the screenshot of what I'm talking about

The strings in the database view are held in tagnavi.config, you'll have to manually edit them to suit your desires. It's unrelated to the normal localization of the firmware.

ok, thanks.
I opened the file with notepad, and there are quite a few times the words I need to translate. At this point I need to change all the occurrences of each word ? That is, everytime I find artist I have to translate it? Thanks again...

Yes.

Basically, you can name any category anything you want, and it doesn't have to align with what the actual filter is. But make sure to only change the ones that are the headers. Some of them are telling it which tag to filter by. I believe the ones you need to change are the ones in quotes.
