album art?

<< < (2/2)

Llorean:
I've personally never been terribly interested in album art. But then I tend to use very basic WPSes anyway, as I don't often look at my player while I'm listening to it, and if I do it's just to read a track name or add it to my favorites playlist.

TedGamble:
To me, it falls under the category of "Since it does it, I want it".  If it didn't do it, I wouldn't miss it.

Twilight in Zero:
I'm fine with or without it. Though the album art version of my WPS looks cool when there's no album art to display. The backdrop comes out more.

If the theme's author designed it with album art in mind, then it won't look ugly. Me, however, all I did was move all the elements of my WPS down to make room for the AA. So there is possibility of clashing in mine.

I really should upload a new version. :-X

psycho_maniac:
will the album art patch ever get commited? It would be nice (if it was for those people who like it) but also if it is commited what happens if you dont have album art for your music? does the font get centered? i never use album art and probably never will.

I assume if (when?) some form of Album Art is implemented, it will work much like it does now in that it's up to the WPS designer what happens in each case, including the case where it doesn't have to show it at all if the WPS designer (and user) doesn't want it to.  I see no reason why it wouldn't.

I don't want peak meters on my WPS, but they're implemented in Rockbox.  I never see them, and don't have to worry about what happens in the "space they are supposed to take up" because that space doesn't exist.
