Creating playlist from directory with subdirectories
(1/1)
patwa:
Hello.
I've looked at the manual but cannot seem to recreate this using speech.
I have a directory with subdirectories, each subdirectory has files, they're all MP3s.
But I can't work out how to create a playlist from that directory that I can save to disk and re-use later. As I said there may be something that's there that's not coming through the speech, but if someone could run the procedure past me I'd be grateful.
Thanks.
H.
bluebrother:
if you want all files below that directory in your playlist simply make sure the "recursively insert into playlist" option is turned on, and then use the context menu on that directory to insert the files into a new playlist.
Or what exactly do you want to achieve?
patwa:
OK, I'll try that, but when I add to playlist, I then can't find it. I want the playlist to be in a separate file, so that I can then just go to it, just like another mp3 file, but it plays the playlist.
Llorean:
Then you have to save the playlist after having done that.
Another option is to go into the folder that has all the folders in it, and choose "Create Playlist" from the menu. That'll save a playlist file, with the same name as the folder you're in.
