All my music is duplicated in my rockbox

(1/1)

ivet:
Hi guys,

I'm having a problem with why all of my music is being displayed twice for each song in my rockbox for my 30gb video iPod.

All my tracks for some reason have been duplicated. I have gone to the main menu-->general settings-->file view-->database and have ran: auto update, initialize now, and update now, but no luck?

Any suggestions?  ???

There's probably one of two reasons:

If it is every track, are you sure you have not got two copies of your music (one in the iPod_control folder and one dragged 'n' dropped, maybe?

Otherwise, you may just have not waited until the initilisation was complete.
Reset all settings, do an 'initialise now' then wait 10-15 mins
Shutdown and restart, then reload your settings. That should do the trick.

Another reason for duplicated tracks can be if there is a deleted version of the song in the recycled folder, or trash.  Try the disk tidy plugin then re-initialize database

I had the same problem. This fixed it for me. Thank you.

I had deleted all tracks in the music folder while connected to USB. Reloaded tracks I wanted. initialized db, but old trakcs showed up and duplicates.

Running disk tidy and re-initializing db cleaned it right up.
