Google's Summer of Code 2007

(1/1)

Bagder:
Hi

It is soon time for "mentoring organizations" to apply to the Google's Summer of Code 2007(*). We must apply no later than March 12, 2007.

This is a chance for us to apply and to possibly get funding for one or more students to work on Rockbox-related stuff.

For this to have a chance, we must have a list of good projects for students to pick from and we need a list of volunteering mentors. Please add your ideas and names here:

:) If I was participating in GSoC, it would be on the student side, but here is a link that might be helpful for mentors:
http://code.google.com/p/google-summer-of-code/wiki/AdviceforMentors

There are a few other helpful files on that wiki as well. If I find any more helpful links later on, I'll post then as well.

krz:
Hi!

Can students propose any ideas to be implemented, that are not listed in wiki?

I have some, but i don't know, will it be enough to participate in GSoC.

Llorean:
Yes, students can write their own project proposals when applying, I think. For the full rules and conditions you should see Google's site.
