HELP! I think my sansa is bricked

sorry if this is the wrong section but i really need help.  i downloaded rockbox onto my e250 and now i get an error...


Rockbox boot loader
Version:20061221-1918
Sandisk Sansa e200
Partition 0: 0x0B 1896 MB
Loading rockbox. . .
Rockbox error: -1


i just got my sansa and saw a friend had rockbox on his and it looked cool so i downloaded it...he told me the steps and i got that error now it doesnt recognize it when its connected to the usb...but it recognizes it in recorvery....anything i can do about this or is it bricked? o and if this is in the wrong section can i pls get it moved.... pls help me  :'(

This is most likely your problem, as I don't have an e250  (I rock an Ipod video) I don't know if there is a specific problem.

you'll notice that these pages mention to follow the steps precisely, do that and I don't think you'll have any problems

The rockbox -1 error means you've only installed the bootloader, and not actually rockbox itself - I'm guessing you missed the part about extracting the rockbox.zip onto the sansa.

i know but my computer doesnt recognize my sansa when its plugged into the usb....should i extract the rockbox.zip on the sansa through recovery mode?

I asked you in a private message to change the title of your thread to something descriptive, as required by our posting guidelines.  I think that you will find that you will get a better response if you use a thread title that describes your issue.  "HELP" is not descriptive, and many people who might otherwise be able to help you have probably simply ignored the thread since they have no idea what it is about.

If you use recovery mode, ONLY PUT AN OFFICIAL SANDISK FIRMWARE MI4 on it. No other files.
