Using the trigger function and timer on the iriver H320

That is what I was asking about and I will make do with the trigger function alone. If I set a timer on my transmitter, I can eliminate any spurious noise throughout the day.
If you do find the time to program in the trigger and split timer, please let me know.

This sounds very much like a problem I will be having. Can I make a suggestion. I am no electronics expert but I suspect there is a simple way to use the trigger and just bypass it during the day using a light dependent resistor. Don't ask me how as I am just recalling very basic schooling from about 20 years back. I may have to investigate this for a device I am thinking of building which I also wish to only work at night.
